I moved to Duncan in 2007 and have witnessed over the years the growth of a diverse small business community that attracts loyal patronage from locals and that draws in visitors from near and far. Duncan businesses are proud to showcase the talents and skills that live within their community. They have an advantage of collaborating with artists, craftsman, artisans, farmers, brewries, distilleries, and wineries within the Cowichan Valley. It always feels to me that the small business community is supportive of one another and never ceases in striving to keep improving and to keep growing. The Duncan Farmer’s Market is a living example of that, but so is hearing about established businesses making new businesses feel welcome while also offering them support and sharing useful resources to lead them towards success. This postive vibe is also reflected in the friendly customer service one receives all around town. Way to go Duncan!
