It seems that every city in B.C. like Kamloops boasted record building permit totals in 2017/18. But Kamloops is the only city that can boast of having the first and only B.C. Cannabis Store opened in time on October 17th. If that doesn’t scream “Open For Business” then what does? Kamloops is ready for business to open their doors and be innovative. The city was awarded “Startup Community of the Year” by Startup Canada in late 2017, supported by Kamloops Innovation and Thompson Rivers University. Kamloops is more connected to business with Kamloops Airport (YKA) announcing new non-stop Air Canada flight service for Toronto-Kamloops. Kamloops Chamber hosted the first ever “Made in B.C.” Tradeshow in 2018. Kamloops isn’t only open for business in the interest of Kamloops. For the 2nd straight summer Kamloops has been one of the major centres in the province rallying around evacuees displaced from the wildfires burning around B.C. So Kamloops is also a leader in being “Open For BC” too!
