This December, Claris Media celebrates 12 years in business. During this time, we have worked hard to promote Fernie to two target markets – those who live and visit Fernie frequently, and those interested in visiting a mountain town in British Columbia. We have developed products, the Fernie Fix magazine and the Fernie Fix seasonal guides, to implement this strategy. These products are continually being tweaked to ensure they align with the markets’ needs, and also with the vision we see for Fernie (in collaboration with the City of Fernie, Tourism Fernie, the Fernie Chamber of Commerce and other stakeholders we work in sync with). As communication channels changed, we adjusted our strategy to ensure we had the best reach. We have grown our FB page to over 3,000 followers and growing, our Instagram page to 2,000 followers and growing, and provide a weekly e-newsletter to over 2,000 individuals. All of these channels point back to www.FernieFix.com, which has become a community hub.
