West Coast Flying Trapeze’s tagline is “Circus is for Everyone,” and they stand behind that belief in everything that they do. There are students who have gone on to become professional circus artists, retirees who enjoy staying active, adults who use circus as a gym alternative, and kids of all ages and body types who are learning to love fitness through circus. Recently, WCFT welcomed a 7-year-old girl to a flying trapeze class who had a heart transplant when she was just a few weeks old.
At WCFT, every student and every achievement is celebrated. Whether it’s sitting up on to an aerial hoop for the first time, or making a “round trip” on the flying trapeze (going from the platform to the catcher and all the way back without dropping to the mats) out of safety lines, every student is encouraged to push themselves safely to achieve their next milestone.
WCFT also maintains a scholarship fund to introduce circus to students who many not otherwise be able to afford it.
