Vancouver, BC Best Community Impact:
Nominee
Employees: 34 In Business Since: 2013

At just 20 years old, Gaby Bayona founded Vancouver’s modern bridal line Truvelle, which began as a single brand ran out of her studio apartment and has now grown into a globally recognized name with 3 sister labels selling in over 70 boutique retailers worldwide. Despite her company’s growth, thoughtful production remains at the forefront of Bayona’s process, with everything from design, pattern drafting, cut and sew, to marketing and sales operating under the same roof on a made-to-order basis.

As a first generation Canadian, Bayona is proud to have a diverse team beside her and provide an inspiring environment to bring pride back into garment production. Her diffused management structure also makes for a collaborative workspace. In 2018, Bayona began her own modelling agency to bring representation and opportunity to more humans. With all of her endeavours, Bayona is proud to contribute to BC’s growing landscape of successful local businesses operating on an international level.
