A thriving small business environment is the essence of a community’s character. Since 2011, Lighthouse Mentor Network has united entrepreneurs to form alliances and leverage collective knowledge, thereby fulfilling their dreams of building successful businesses. This year, Lighthouse celebrates a milestone of 100 women entrepreneurs having taken part in this powerful mentorship paradigm.
In partnership with Squamish Savings, a division of Vancity – the COMMUNITY BEACON AWARD is an opportunity to take part in the mentor program free of charge. Two awards will be granted: one to the leader of a non-profit organization and another to a female entrepreneur from the indigenous community.
As a champion of small business, Lighthouse shares how the power of mentoring benefits the community at Rotary Clubs, the Whistler Chamber of Commerce, Capilano University – to name a few. Lighthouse’s mentor model has been shared with the Community Futures Howe Sound and the Community Foundation of Whistler
