We are a team of social entrepreneurs working to improve the lives of older adults and the less-abled. We work with senior organizations around Vancouver to identify isolated seniors and engage them in community through trishaw bike rides. We are a local chapter of the global Cycling Without Age movement that now operates in 42 countries with 2,200 trishaws and 29,000 pilots. Our 5 guiding principles are: Generosity, Slowness, Storytelling, Relationships and Without Age. Cycling Without Age Vancouver was established in spring of 2018, we fundraised and received our first trishaw May 2019. We currently work with WESN, Broadway Lodge, Kits Neighbourhood House and Windermere Care Centre. We are a non-for-profit that believes in letting people age in a positive context by – celebrating age, defying expectations and growing friendships. We celebrate success with the smiles and stories of our seniors, their families and care takers. We give our passengers the right to wind in their hair.
