Apprenticing with them, is more then a opportunity. It’s not just about the hours or work that is done; but understanding why your doing that specific job that way. If you don’t get something, they break it down for you further instead of just letting you go. Nielsen if the first company I have worked for that push for apprentice to better recognize and push the trade.
Architectural sheet metal is not a well know trade and the company does everything they can to make it more available to today’s upcoming generation, there the type of company you can walk into the owners office with as much as an idea and it listened to and accepted a lot of the time.
They want to better their company and are well aware it takes a team to do that. Being a apprentice for then is more than being a employee I go to work feel like I’m working for family. To me that’s important especially being a women in trades.
Neilsen deserves this award for what they give and are willing to give To apprentices.
